Hot Tuba dub dub.

I was given a hot tub. the tub itself was in great shape. the outer part of the tub needs some cleaning and some paint or something. The owner had put in a new motor but it didn't run. It was given to me to get it out of their yard, and I was happy for the addition to my backyard. I used an old sprinkler motor I had in the back yard for some 24 years. it is ugly but runs like a champ. OH YA, and don't believe that you have to have a "pool pump" and "pool fittings" after a long conversation
of "you can't do that" from the local pool guy. Out came the hack saw. I cut off the "pool" fittings and plumbed it like it was a sink or a sprinkler system. Wow it is great, the jets are kicking and the bubbles are flowing all I need is for someone to say "YOU can't do that". I will post pictures when the outside of the tub is painted/decorated.

Why buy a pad.

Why would anyone buy a pad to jot things down, or to write a shopping list on when you can get this for free. They are the paint swatches from Home Depot or any place that sells paint. Behr has a little leaf cutout in the swatch and a little plastic rings to hold a bunch of them together. The best part is that you can use any kind of pen and even markers. the swatches won't bleed through or smudge. they are great and you can color code them or match your room, your car or your purse.LOL

Put it on display.

This room is so small. with the addition of these shelves the room became wider looking and bright. White bead board makes it bright. the base is made with cement blocks and shelving 16" wide. then those cheap white bookcases some light paint and break out the books and the nick knacks. the tv looks small but is a 37" flat screen. The whole project was under 100$.

Ugly stump?

Ugly stump, Yea, Yea I know have it removed.....Well I kind of like the Idea of making it a pedestal. So I planted ferns around it and some aloe is in there. I bought a statue of a girl with sunflowers which feels like my farmers heart, she makes me smile. The frens are home to a black snake I named Ebony who keeps down the bug and rodent population. She is kind and only uses the deck when we are not using it. The ultimate in co-habitation.

The other bird bath

Two flower pots and a sauser will make a bird bath that will last and last.

Make a Bird bath

Make a Bird Bath to give the birds a break from the heat. I went on a search for a bird bath and any of the nice ones where $$$$. I had at home a small chiminea that had broke a few years back so I took the top part and put a large saucer from a large flower pot on top. I used liquid nails to keep it in place on top of chimney. Then I glued glass chips to the bottom of the saucer and then added grout. It is simple and easy to clean water and a wipe of your hand or a rag and it shines like it is new. This bird bath will out last any one of those pvc ones 10 times. No chiminea parts around? I have another one in the back yard made with two large flower pots glued bottom to bottom and then added the saucer on the top.

Little plastic baskets.

LITTLE PLASTIC BERRY BASKETS.
keep those little plastic baskets from the store. put a paper bag, paper towel, or coffee filter in the bottom. Then put in your dirt and seeds.. This works great for plants that don't like to be transplanted. when your plants are ready just plant the whole basket. the paper will decay and the roots will grow right through the weave in the basket.

Free stuff to work with????

In a wonderful effort to keep the landfills on low and to keep the Junk freeflowing join FREECYCLE.com. Look for a group in your area. Beware!! you will get a ton of e-mails. I opened a special email account just for freecycle so I would not be bothered with it in my regular account. It is GREAT, everything from clothing to computers, toys, tools, bikes and plants not to mention just anything and everything.
