Make A Joyful Noise.

I love the sound of wind chimes. I was blessed with all of these chimes as gifts. The chimes fall apart and people get rid of them. So I came up with a different idea other than the same old round design.


I found these Little tile pieces that I saved from the trash years ago. The kids made these from clay in school ceramic class. They had to make different textures and then glaze them different colors. I found them in the trash one of the times the girls deep cleaned their room so you know me, I dug them out and kept them. They had holes in them, which made them easy to hang.I used metal fishing leaders so they will be hanging for a long time.

Ahhhhh the sweet sound of wind powered music seasoned with a touch of nostalgia.

I bought an old beater truck to use in my yard work and my projects. I love the truck but the inside was gross, dirty and moldy. this handle gives you an idea of the degree of dirt.

I pulled out the headliner. which is as molded fiberglass with a foam cloth covering. It is dirty and stinks.

We bought a few yards of upholstery material with a real pretty spring look.

Spray adhesive and pressed with the new fabric.

I love it! And the cost was 25$ a savings of 75$ and a unique look to boot.

Jig's to paint with

These were found in a yard sale. The husband said "oh no one will want those" So His wife put them out for .25. Well You know my wife picked them right up. She said "EM will use them for something?

I love painting bowling balls. Painting is at a slow pace right now because of cold weather but, give me a warm day and these babies will be bugs on the lawn in no time.

I love lady bugs.

It all starts with a window. I am not sure at this point what is going into the window, but it is a start.I have a basic Idea of a window sill with fruit on it.

An out line and the start of jar and a candlestick. this is what I call blocking in areas.The Jar will be of southwest design to go with the rest of the kitchen.

The funny part of my painting style is that I paint backwards. All painting classes tell you that you paint the background first and then work your way forward. NOT ME!

I am not sure that I am all done. This is as far as I am going at this time. I have an idea of adding some drying herbs hanging on the sides or maybe some seeds on the window sill? I think I will add some trees and land in the background of the water but for now I am done.Who knows when Spirit will move me again? LOL

Just loving my life and all that is in it. "The sun shines and my heart sings and dances".

An Apple a day...

Well, not these apples. But, here is another way to use up the aluminum cans left over from last nights super bowl game.
Simple paint, spray paint with red paint after crushing, These cans will be outside so I sprayed them with a grey primer first.
No special tools to crush. fold the top and bottom toward each other. Then step on it to flatten it out.
Brush on a little shadowing color with cheap craft paint. You can clear coat them or put a coat of Elmer's glue on the front when it drys it will give it a little shine.
I tied on a scrap of calico material.
