Morning Glory Vines in the kitchen.

This was a fun job, a combination of rub off transfer and paint covered with modge podge. The transfers are old and they don't really stick that well sometimes it has missing parts and that is when I get to play and add my own little touches.

Golden Thread and Silver Needles

As I shake out the quilt that is my life
I step back and look upon the bright colors
that have decorated my life.
The bright blue of the summer skies that I played under.
The autumn colors of the maple trees for all of the sweet times
shared with friends and family.
The bright yellows for the days that the sun shined and my heart sang.
Fabrics that represent days, years, hours, minutes, friends, and family
all held together with the golden thread of lessons learned
as the silver needle of time winds its way through the fabric.
What an amazing quilt this is turning out to be.
Thank you for being a part of this work in progress,
for the lessons and colors that you have added to my quilt
by being a special part of this fascinating journey.

Fun art projects

A fun project that brings out my inner child. the puzzle piece is made from wallpaper, ink letters and textured paint for the sun and rays.
So who would not want to put their socks in this dresser.

Brick layers union watch out

This is a fun way to make an old sidewalk and driveway look clean and fun.
The undercoat is a brown/pink with a brick colored paint for the stones and brick.
Find a sponge mop that has a big enough square base so it looks the size of a brick.

Sidewalk, Fred Flintstone style

This is a fun project. I loved doing it. I took all of my leftover paints and dumped them into a 5gal pail and mixed it all up. I came out with a brown, tan, pink color. This I used to base coat the driveway and sidewalk.

Then I used a brick color paint to paint the blocks. I have an old plastic mold that is used to make concrete walkway. instead I turned it upside down and used it as a templet for the painting of the blocks. It looks very much like something you would see in Bedrock going up to Fred Flintstones front door. I love it.

Toolbox meets board games.

Plastic trays digaurded from board games like Monopoly can be put into the tool box to hold small items. These are very handy for both the toolbox and for crafts like beading. Thanks Pat for giving me these.

Childs Gate new birth.

When the children are gone and the do is trained, what to do with the gate that kept them out of the kitchen or away from the stairs?

How about add some craft wire. Put it on the back of a door and make it a jewlery center.
A piece of white felt held on the door with some tacks makes a great place to put post earings. "just saying"
