This is a simple little thing that you can do with the kids and can be used for anything.all you need is a flower pot and saucer that is used under the flower pot. something for a handle like a wooden ball and lamp shade. this is the type of lamp shade that goes on a ceiling light and is held on with 3 screws.
You can paint the flower pot in any way you like. Hot glue the light shade on the bottom of the flower pot open side up so you can put things inside. then use the saucer like a lid. I am following my Grandmothers leed with saving my buttons. If I am going to throw out a worn shirt or cut it up for rags I take off all of the buttons and store them. It is fun and brings me memories of my Gram.
